The Water Park

Water Park is both the municipal plant for purification of stormwater and a park. The idea to create a water park came originally from the Committee to preserve the Lake Mälaren. Nutrients give causes a negative environmental effect on the Baltic Sea region. 1994 the Environment and Health committee was assigned a mission, in collaboration with The Board of Nature Conservation, department of streets and City planning, to make a plan with cost estimates to reduce nutrient emissions in the municipality of Enköping. The water park will not just function like a wetland but also as an appealing park for recreation.
